LinnDrum (しばしばLM-2 と誤って呼ばれる)[ 1] Linn Electronics が1982年から1985年の間に製造したドラムマシン である。約5,000台が販売された。[ 2] [ 3]
LinnDrumは、アメリカ合衆国 のエンジニア であるロジャー・リンによって設計された。[ 4] LM-1 は高価で、一部のミュージシャンやスタジオでしか利用されなかったが、LinnDrumはそれよりも安価で、より広く生産された。[ 4] [ 5] [ 6]
LinnDrumの販売台数は、LM-1やLM-1の後継機であるLinn 9000 を大きく上回り、トレヴァー・ホーン 、[ 7] ストック・エイトキン・ウォーターマン [ 8] マイケル・ジャクソン [ 9] アーティスト に使用された。Linn Electronicsは1986年に倒産したが、、ブルース・フォラット が資産を購入し、LinnDrumのサービス、サウンド、カスタマイズなどを提供し続けた。[ 10] [ 11]
