今回は新しく「不規則な動詞」を学びます。
第一弾は"sum"と"possum"みたいです。

不規則動詞(irregular verbs)とは
・第1活用から第4活用、どの動詞ルールにも当てはまらない変化をするもの。
・ラテン語の主な不規則動詞は英語だと
to be;
to be able;
to want;
to not want;
to prefer;
to carry;
to go;
の意味を持つものなどが挙げられる。

複合動詞とは
・修飾語(modifier)と組み合わさった動詞
修飾語句は形容詞、副詞、前置詞や名詞など他のものでもありうる。

一人称単数現在
(2) Present Active Infinitive
能動態・現在・不定形

一人称単数完了
(4) future Active Participle
未来分詞
〈英〉going to be, about to be
・sumを使用した複合動詞が多くある。
【adsum】ad + sum
(1) adsum (2) adesse (3) adfuī (4) adfutūrus
→I arrive, I attend, I am present
ad 〈英〉to, towards
【absum】ab + sum
(1) absum (2) abesse (3) āfuī (4) āfutūrus
→I am away, I am absent, I am distant
ab 〈英〉away, from
※(3)と(4)の頭につくaは長いā
【dēsum】dē(of, from)+ sum
(1) dēsum (2) deesse (3) dēfuī (4) dēfutūrus
→I fail, miss, abandon
※(2)の頭のēは短いe
【praesum】prae(before, in front of)+ sum
(1) praesum (2) praeesse (3) praefuī (4) praefutūrus
→I preside, lead, command, be before something
sumを活用してみる（現在）
【Sum: Present Tense】
・単数(singular)
1st person: sum スム〈英〉I am
2nd person: es エス〈英〉You(sg.) are
3rd person: est エスト〈英〉 He/She/It is
・複数(plural)
1st person: sumus スムス〈英〉We are
2nd person: estis エスティス〈英〉You(pl.) are
3rd person: sunt スント〈英〉They are
例：Virī agricolae sunt.
〈英〉The men are farmers.
・vir: 2nd declention noun (m.)
・agricola: 1st declention noun (m.)
※上のagricolaeは複数・主格（対格ではない）
この場合suntが連結詞的動詞(copulative or linking verb)であるため

・sumとの複合動詞でもある
potis(adj.) + sum
potis〈英〉able, capable
possumを活用してみる（現在）

・単数(singular)
1st person: possum ポッスム〈英〉I am able
2nd person: potes ポテス〈英〉You(sg.) are able
3rd person: potest ポテスト〈英〉 He/She/It is able
・複数(plural)
1st person: possumus ポッスムス〈英〉We are able
2nd person: potestis ポテスティス〈英〉You(pl.) are abe
3rd person: possunt ポッスント〈英〉They are able
