Philip Rawsonは東南亜細亜美術史の専門家。中国の春画は「東方藝術的一部分」として位置づけられている。
1980年代以降

John Byron Portrait of a Chinese Paradise: Erotica and Sexual Customs of the Late Qing Period
Ferdinand M. Bertholet Gardens of Pleasure: Eroticism and Art in China

日本の研究者、福田和彦氏が日中春画の比較研究を伊太利語と英語でものしているということだが、陳氏はその書名を挙げていない。

そういえば、中野美代子先生の『中国春画論序説』*2も未読であった。
