$x=a\cos^3\theta$ ， $y=a\sin^3\theta$ とおくと
$4\displaystyle\int_0^{\pi/2} \sqrt{9\cos^2\theta\sin^2\theta(\cos^2\theta+\sin^2\theta)}\, d\theta$ $=6a\displaystyle\int_0^{\pi/2}\sin 2\theta\,d\theta$ $=6a$
