$\dfrac{1}{1+t^2}=1-t^2+t^4-t^6+\cdots$
を $0$ から $x$ まで項別積分して
$\mbox{Arctan}\, x=x-\dfrac{x^3}{3}+\dfrac{x^5}{5}-\dfrac{x^7}{7}+\cdots$
となる．つまり
$\mbox{Arctan}\, x=\displaystyle\sum_{n=0}^{\infty}\dfrac{(-1)^n x^{2n+1}}{2n+1}$
となる．

■ 収束半径は $|x|\lt 1$
