自作問題です．解答は下部に載せました．

 

問題

下図のように，２の冪乗をL字型に繰り返し並べた配置の斜め方向の和 { \displaystyle S \left( n \right) } を考える．下図から， { \displaystyle S \left( 1 \right) = 1 } ， { \displaystyle S \left( 2 \right) = 4 } ， { \displaystyle S \left( 3 \right) = 9 } ， { \displaystyle S \left( 4 \right) = 20 } ， { \displaystyle S \left( 5 \right) = 41 } ， { \displaystyle S \left( 6 \right) = 84 } であることがわかる．ここで， { \displaystyle S \left( 0 \right) = 0 } として，次の問いに答えよ．

１． { \displaystyle S \left( n \right) } を  { \displaystyle S \left( n - 2 \right) } を用いて表せ．

２． { \displaystyle S \left( n \right) } の一般項を求めよ．

解答

１． { \displaystyle S \left( n \right) = S \left( n - 2\right) + 2^n }

２． { \displaystyle S \left( n \right) = \frac{2^{n+2}}{3} + \frac{\left( -1 \right) ^n}{6} - \frac{3}{2} }
