🎨 モネの池…mone's pond…

🎨 A Brush of Silence Paints a Miracle — Monet’s Pond in Gifu

In crystal-clear spring water, water lilies gently float.

Their white and crimson petals sway with the whispers of the wind,

like dreams blooming on a mirror that reflects the sky.

Koi glide across the surface, dressed in shades of vermilion, gold, and ink.

Each one tells a different story,

its graceful path tracing the water like a painter’s brush.

This is a nameless pond in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture.

And yet, it’s this very lack of a name that leaves a deeper imprint on the heart.

People began calling it “Monet’s Pond”

because its scenery evokes the paintings of Claude Monet—

his garden of water lilies, his play of light, his poetry of water.

Here, time seems to echo softly through every ripple.

Visitors often fall silent, simply standing still.

The water is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom,

as if nature’s mystery and quietude are resting there.

Even the hands holding cameras pause,

and the heart gently melts into the landscape.

This pond wears different expressions with each season:

- In spring, fresh green leaves wrap the water’s edge.

- In summer, water lilies bloom in full glory.

- In autumn, crimson leaves reflect on the surface.

- In winter, silence blankets everything.

A nameless pond—its lack of a name becomes a poem,

a painting, a memory.

And perhaps, in your heart too,

a quiet image begins to take shape.

What colors would you use to paint this miracle?
