Ubuntu Linux 16.04 LTSにEmacs 25をインストールする

以下のように。

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kelleyk/emacs
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install emacs25

自分は、Emacs 24を使っていたので切り替えを。

$ sudo update-alternatives --config emacs

確認。

$ emacs --version
GNU Emacs 25.3.2
Copyright (C) 2017 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
GNU Emacs comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY.
