今回は「Piano Man」を翻訳いたしました！

ビリー・ジョエルの父親はピアノ演奏 (特にクラシック) が得意だったため、ピアノを習い始めたのが彼のピアノ人生の始まりです。その反面、学校で虐められていたのもあり、防衛のためにボクシングを習っていた経験もあるそうです。
高校生のときから実際にバーでピアニストとして働いており、この「Piano Man」も、弾き語りで生計を立てていた当時の実体験をもとに書かれた曲です。
そして今でも自身のライブにおいて定番曲となり、彼の代名詞とまで言える名曲となりました♪
虚しく切ない人生でも、必ずドラマや宝物が一人一人の中に存在しています。一杯の酒が紡ぐ、人間模様を実に繊細にとらえた珠玉の一曲です。
