What is the difference between 50's jazz and 60's jazz ?

The atmosphere during the performance is completely different.
In contrast to 50's hard bop, which sounds like it was played in a hole-in-the-wall basement, the 60's sound represented by this album has a more open sound and resonance.
Even in Hancock's solo part, you can see that he values harmony more than phrases.
