This album is a masterpiece of funky jazz.
At the live recording session at the Parisian club Saint-Germain, there was such an uproar that some people fainted from excitement.
Even though it's the same "Moanin'", this version is darker and more sticky than the studio version.
Of course, it's Blakey playing the drums.
This is the album I want to listen to when taking a walk in the dim light of dawn.
