コアップガラナに隠れたキウイフレーバーの存在
コアップガラナキウイ購入について - イーアルカンフーのキックの音「パポー」あたった音「ボッ」
この記事によると、コアップガラナにはキウイフレーバーがあるとのこと。コアップガラナファンなのに存在を知らなかった。
コアップガラナは北海道内で販売されている炭酸飲料で、ドクターペッパーのような、やや薬のシロップのような味わいがする。ローカル色の強い清涼飲料水なので、関東だとスーパーの北海道フェアのような特別なイベントでないと目にする機会は少ない。
オリジナル自体を見かける機会が限られるのだから、派生商品であるキウイ味を目にする可能性はほぼないだろう。美味しいかは分からないが、様々なガラナ飲料の選択肢がある北海道の人がうらやましい。
ちなみにガラナ飲料だと、大手のキリンが出しているキリンガラナがあって、基本は北海道の限定販売だが、北海道フェアなどではこちらを見かけることも多い。
どちらかというとコアップの方がキリンより好みかもしれない。大手である分、キリンの方が安く売られていることが多いのだが。
さらに余談だと、北海道限定の炭酸ドリンクにはリボンナポリンというポッカ製のものがあり、私はそれも好みである。
Netflix新作「匿名の恋人たち」への期待

Netflixで「涙の女王」という韓国のラブコメドラマを観て、なかなか面白かったので、今は「恋するムービー」という別の韓国ドラマを見ている。こちらもそろそろ終盤のエピソードに入るのだが、なかなか面白い。
また別の新しい作品を探さないと、と思っていたところ、上記記事で「匿名の恋人たち」という作品が10月から配信されると知った。
日韓合作なのだろうか。韓国よりもむしろ日本の俳優が多数出演するらしく、監督は日本人のようだから、韓国というよりも日本のドラマに近そうな気もするが、Netflixの独自制作ドラマは日本のものもよくできているので、チェックしておきたい。
Netflixで制作された日本のドラマでは、ラブコメではないが「忍びの家」は良かった。
「舟を編む」の時代感の違いを感じる
三浦しをんの小説「舟を編む」の話である。出版社の辞書編纂部が辞書作りに情熱を注ぐ話で、私も昔読んで大変面白く感じた。辞書の制作という見慣れない作業を垣間見ることができた気分になったし、仕事に誠実に取り組む人たちの話は心を打つ。
紹介した記事の筆者の方は、この小説を原作にしたドラマがNHKで放送されているのをきっかけに、原作を再度読まれたようだ。
私も似たような状況なのだが、昔読んだ原作が手元にないので、代わりにAmazonプライムで映画版を見た。映画版も良いのだが、今放送しているドラマ版と比較すると、古さを感じる。作品から滲み出る社会通念の違いを感じるというのだろうか。時代も少しずつアップデートされていて、知らず知らずのうちに自分も新しい考え方に慣れ親しんでいるのかもしれない。
ちなみにドラマ版はまだ、3話か4話を観たくらいである。録画しているのでいずれ全部を見たい。ドラマ版は、辞書作りが終盤にさしかかった作品の後半にフォーカスされているので、主人公も原作と違うし、原作の前半部分もカットされている。これはこれで巧みな脚本だと素人目に思う。ただ、原作の前半で、原作の主人公が恋に落ちるシーンはなかなか印象的なので、そこがもしもドラマ版でも描かれていたらどんな感じだったかな、とふと思った。
しまなみ海道サイクリングの思い出

しまなみ海道で自転車をレンタルしてサイクリングすることを計画されている方の記事である。しまなみ海道は、広島県と愛媛県を結ぶ瀬戸内海上の道路のことで、サイクリングロードとして有名である。
私の場合、この記事の計画とは逆ルートだが、愛媛県から出発してレンタル自転車で、しまなみ海道を多少サイクリングしたことがある。といっても、記事の方と違い私は自転車乗りではなく、サイクリングを目的に愛媛に行ったわけでもない。
夜行列車のサンライズに乗りたくて、その結果として四国に行ったついでに立ち寄った。サンライズには、東京から香川県の高松に行くサンライズ瀬戸と、島根県の出雲に行くサンライズ出雲の2種類があり、私が利用したのは前者だったというわけである。
香川県で本場のうどんを食べたり金比羅宮にお参りしたあと、愛媛に行って、しまなみ海道を訪れた次第である。
したがって、サイクリングに慣れているわけでもないので、しまなみ海道のサイクリングはほどほどのところで切り上げて、宿泊施設に戻ってしまった。ただ、好きな人にはたまらない環境だろうと思う。

The Hidden Kiwi Flavor in Coap Guarana
According to this article, Coap Guarana has a kiwi flavor variant. Despite being a fan of Coap Guarana, I was unaware of its existence.
Coap Guarana is a carbonated beverage sold within Hokkaido, with a taste reminiscent of Dr. Pepper—somewhat like medicinal syrup. As a locally distinctive soft drink, it's rarely seen in the Kanto region unless during special events like Hokkaido fairs at supermarkets.
Since opportunities to encounter the original are limited, the possibility of spotting derivative products like the kiwi flavor is virtually nonexistent. Though I don't know if it tastes good, I envy Hokkaido residents who have various guarana beverage options.
Incidentally, among guarana beverages, there's Kirin Guarana produced by the major company Kirin, which is basically sold exclusively in Hokkaido but is often seen at Hokkaido fairs and such.
I might prefer Coap over Kirin. Being from a major company, Kirin is often sold at lower prices though.
As a further digression, among Hokkaido-exclusive carbonated drinks, there's Ribbon Napolin made by Pokka, which I also favor.
Anticipation for Netflix's New Series "Anonymous Lovers"
I watched "Queen of Tears," a Korean romantic comedy drama on Netflix, which was quite entertaining, so now I'm watching "Romance in the House," another Korean drama. This one is also approaching its final episodes and is quite interesting.
While thinking I need to find another new series, I learned from the above article that "Anonymous Lovers" will be distributed from October.
I wonder if it's a Japan-Korea collaboration. It seems more Japanese actors appear than Korean ones, and since the director appears to be Japanese, it might be closer to a Japanese drama than a Korean one. However, Netflix's original Japanese productions are well-made, so I want to keep it on my watchlist.
Among Japanese dramas produced by Netflix, "House of Ninjas" was good, though it's not a romantic comedy.
Feeling the Generational Differences in "The Great Passage"
This is about Miura Shion's novel "The Great Passage." It's a story about a publishing company's dictionary editorial department passionately working on dictionary compilation, which I found extremely interesting when I read it long ago. It gave me a sense of glimpsing into the unfamiliar process of dictionary production, and stories about people working earnestly at their jobs are moving.
The author of the featured article seems to have reread the original work, prompted by the NHK drama adaptation currently being broadcast.
I'm in a similar situation, but since I don't have the original work at hand, I watched the film version on Amazon Prime instead. The film version is also good, but compared to the currently airing drama version, it feels dated. I sense differences in social conventions emanating from the works. Times are gradually being updated, and perhaps I've unknowingly become accustomed to new ways of thinking.
Incidentally, I've only watched about three or four episodes of the drama version so far. I've recorded it, so I want to watch everything eventually. The drama version focuses on the latter half of the work when dictionary compilation is nearing completion, so the protagonist differs from the original, and the first half of the original is omitted. This seems like skillful screenwriting to amateur eyes. However, the scene where the original protagonist falls in love in the first half of the original is quite memorable, so I wondered what it would have been like if that had been depicted in the drama version too.
Memories of Shimanami Kaido Cycling
This is an article by someone planning to rent bicycles and cycle on the Shimanami Kaido. The Shimanami Kaido refers to the road over the Seto Inland Sea connecting Hiroshima and Ehime prefectures, famous as a cycling route.
In my case, though taking the opposite route from this article's plan, I once did some cycling on the Shimanami Kaido starting from Ehime Prefecture with a rental bicycle. However, unlike the article's author, I'm not a cyclist, nor did I go to Ehime specifically for cycling.
I wanted to ride the overnight train Sunrise, and as a result of going to Shikoku, I stopped by as a side trip. There are two types of Sunrise trains: Sunrise Seto going from Tokyo to Takamatsu in Kagawa Prefecture, and Sunrise Izumo going to Izumo in Shimane Prefecture. I used the former.
After eating authentic udon in Kagawa Prefecture and visiting Konpira Shrine, I went to Ehime and visited the Shimanami Kaido.
Therefore, since I'm not accustomed to cycling, I cut short the Shimanami Kaido cycling at a reasonable point and returned to my accommodation. However, I think it would be an irresistible environment for those who love it.
