この記事を読んで、私も「ブローガスト」に参加してみることにした。8月のブログイベントで、8月中は毎日ブログの更新を目指すものらしい。
多少日をまたぐことはあるのだが、ここ最近はある程度毎日更新が続いているので、8月中はできるだけ続けてみようと思う。
現在は、思いついたことをつらつらとメモに書き留め、メモがいくつかたまったらAIにブログ記事の体裁にまとめてもらう方法をとっている。そのおかげで毎日更新用のストックがいくつかできている状況である。たまに下書きを公開するのを忘れて毎日更新が途切れてしまうが、自主参加のイベントなので厳密に考える必要もないだろう。
更新を毎日待ってくれる読者がいるわけではないのだが、自分の考えたことが文として頻度高く残っているのは、自分自身があとから読み返した時に楽しいものである。単なる日記だとモチベーションが続かないので、読む人が少ないブログというのが実は良い塩梅なのかもしれない。
除湿機を使った部屋干しの話

この記事ではマンションの洗面所に除湿機を置いて洗濯物を部屋干ししていることが紹介されていた。
洗面所ではないが、私も除湿機を使って部屋干ししている。ベランダに干しに行くと、外に出るのが煩わしいし、花粉がついたり雨が気になったりするが、部屋干し＋除湿機だとそのような問題がないのがありがたい。
ただし、電気代がかさむ、除湿機をつけると部屋が暑くなる、除湿されたタンクの水を捨てるのが手間、というデメリットもある。タンクの水をシンクに捨てる前に床にこぼしてしまい、せっかく洗濯したタオルを大量投入して拭き取る悲しい事態も頻発している。
良しあしはあるが、個人的には部屋干しに満足している。我が家は三菱電機の比較的大容量モデルを使っている。水を捨てる頻度が多くなると面倒なので、タンクは大きい方がおすすめかもしれない。
ブログサービスとRSSリーダーについて
はてなブログは面白いのだが、当然ながらブログのサービスプロバイダーははてなだけではない。弁理士だとブログにnoteやアメーバを使っている人も多いようである。
これらもRSSリーダーを使って更新をチェックしようかと考えている。RSSリーダーは昔は結構流行っていた印象があるけれど、最近は使っている人が減った印象である。今はFeedlyが有料サービスなのだろうか。私が昔使っていたライブドアリーダーは大分前になくなってしまった。
RSSリーダー以外だと、昔私が作ったはてなアンテナのサイトがある。しばらく放置していたけれど、このアンテナサイトをメンテナンスして、普段読みたいサイトをこれに登録すれば良いかもしれない。
自前で用意しなくても、iptopsというサイトで知財系ブログの更新をチェックしているので、これを使う手も考えられる。ここは網羅性が高いので、自分がよく読むサイトを自分のはてなアンテナに加えれば、使い分けられて良いのかもしれない。
ちなみにこのサイトも登録されているが、弁理士受験者ブログのカテゴリーに入っている。受験者の時にもブログを書いていたので、その頃に登録されたのだろう。

After reading this article, I decided to participate in "Blaugust" as well. It's an August blogging event where the goal is to update your blog daily throughout August.
Although I sometimes post across midnight, I've been maintaining fairly regular daily updates recently, so I'll try to continue this throughout August.
Currently, I jot down whatever comes to mind in memos, and when several memos accumulate, I have AI format them into blog articles. Thanks to this method, I have several posts in stock for daily updates. Occasionally, I forget to publish drafts and my daily update streak breaks, but since it's a voluntary event, there's no need to be overly strict about it.
While I don't have readers eagerly awaiting daily updates, having my thoughts frequently recorded in written form is enjoyable when I look back on them later. Since motivation wouldn't last with just a diary, having a blog with few readers might actually be the perfect balance.
About Indoor Drying with a Dehumidifier

This article introduced using a dehumidifier in the bathroom to dry laundry indoors.
Although not in the bathroom, I also use a dehumidifier for indoor drying. Going out to the balcony to hang laundry is troublesome, and there are concerns about pollen attachment and rain, but indoor drying with a dehumidifier eliminates such problems, which is appreciated.
However, there are also drawbacks: increased electricity costs, the room becomes hot when the dehumidifier is running, and emptying the water tank is troublesome. I frequently experience the unfortunate situation of spilling tank water on the floor before disposing of it in the sink, then having to use a large quantity of freshly washed towels to clean it up.
There are pros and cons, but personally, I'm satisfied with indoor drying. We use a relatively large-capacity model from Mitsubishi Electric. Since it becomes troublesome when you need to empty water frequently, I'd recommend a larger tank.
About Blog Services and RSS Readers
While Hatena Blog is interesting, blog service providers aren't limited to Hatena alone. Among patent attorneys, many seem to use Note or Ameba for their blogs.
I'm considering using RSS readers to check updates on these platforms as well. RSS readers seemed quite popular in the past, but my impression is that fewer people use them recently. I wonder if Feedly is now a paid service? The Livedoor Reader I used to use disappeared quite a while ago.
Besides RSS readers, I have a Hatena Antenna site I created in the past. I've been neglecting it for a while, but I might maintain this antenna site and register the sites I usually want to read there.
Even without preparing something myself, I check updates on intellectual property blogs using a site called iptops, so that's another option. Since this site has comprehensive coverage, it might be good to add sites I frequently read to my own Hatena Antenna for better organization.
Incidentally, this site is also registered there, but it's categorized under patent attorney exam candidate blogs. Since I was writing a blog when I was a candidate, it was probably registered during that time.
