1987年製作の映画『バグダッド・カフェ』の4K修復版ブルーレイ、DVDが27日より発売中。監督のパーシー・アドロンと、その妻でともに脚本を手掛けたエレオノール・アドロンが孫娘たちを連れ、映画に登場したカフェを再訪する「バグダッドへの旅」（25分）など、本邦初公開の特典映像も収録されている。

　日本での劇場公開から約30年、初のブルーレイ化から約10年。主題歌「コーリング・ユー」でおなじみの本作は、アメリカ西部の砂漠にある寂れたカフェを舞台に、ドイツ人旅行者ヤスミン（マリアンネ・ゼーゲブレヒト）と、モーテルのボス・ブレンダ（CCH・パウンダー）の交流を軸に展開する物語。夫に出て行かれ、仕事と育児もうまくいかないブレンダのささくれだった心を、風変わりな宿泊客ヤスミンが潤していく。

　4K修復版ではアドロン監督が立ち合いのもと、全てのカットの色、構図を調整。音楽を含む全編の音声を、世界的音響エンジニアであるオノセイゲンがリマスタリングした。
